Condition is New, in sealed box, has never been opened before, and in a near mint shipper also; first time open to picture the box out; and since is sealed I wouldn’t try to open it (more value to your investment). Inside pictures are from a Mattel catalogue.
She is from my own collection and has never been exposed to the light, in a pet and smoke free environment and in a climate controlled temperature.
Byron Lars, the highly acclaimed New York designer, continues with his Magnificent Treasures of Africa Collection, and TANO is the fifth Barbie doll to add to his exquisite inspiration for the arts.
Tano is completely unique and absolutely unforgettable! She is this fabulous fantasy, equal parts ethnic princess and couture queen. Her amazing costume begins with a beaded top worn with a striking belt featuring red feathers. Golden embroidery plays on the printed crepe cropped pant. Long, golden earrings, an elaborate beaded necklace, and burgundy-ribboned shoes are the bold accessories. The breath-taking final element is an incredible head piece, which includes a bird cage complete with with red molded bird with feather tail.
If you considere yourself a Barbie collector, you must add Byron Lars to you collection; these pieces are all retired, and as the time passes, it’ll get harder and harder to find them, especially in this condition, sealed mint box with near mint shipper. She comes with her stand and her certificate of authenticity.
